Applied Research Associates, Inc. Business Analyst Internship in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Description

Essential Functions:

  • Intern will work closely with experienced ARA team members to gain new experiences and working knowledge.

  • Monitor error checking reports and notify appropriate group to review and fix the data.

  • Perform routine tasks to help free up the Sr. Business Analysts.

  • Research problems to help find a solution.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support.

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and outliers.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for processes.

  • Assist Sr. Business Analysts with tracking open tasks and follow-up with users.

  • Work with team to test Costpoint upgrades, security, and other as needed items.

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in university or college program

  • Preferred Major: Business, MIS, or Engineering

Qualifications:

  • If the intern is under the age of 18, they must have a Youth Employment Certificate.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholder

  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of curiosity and eagerness to learn.

  • Must be able to keep track of tasks and follow-through until completion.

  • Ability to listen, take direction, and work with a team to solve problems.

Duration:

  • This is a 6-month internship position with the possibility of extension based on performance.
