Job Information

Philips Internship: Global Business Services Communication in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Start date: We prefer students able to start per September 2024

Duration: 6 months

Type: Thesis

Weekly hours: 40

You will be part of the GBS Change & Communications team with members are spread across US, Panama, Poland, India and China. The work you do will drive communications and engagement for over 5000 GBS employees of Philips, 90% of whom belong to the Gen Y and Z generation group.

Your role

  • Supporting organization wide our large-scale leadership events and webcasts

  • Create posts on Viva Engage and in select social platforms

  • Create and edit multiple videos and social media posts

  • Support the GBS Change & Communications Leader in tracking KPIs and performance metrics and adoption of change/transformation programs

You’re the right fit if

  • Studying towards your bachelor’s or master’s degree in: Communications, Journalism, Mass Communications or Digital Communications

  • Fluency in English (written & verbal) is required.

  • Keen interest or knowledge in making/editing videos, creative content and social media

  • Confident user of Adobe design software eg. InDesign will be an added advantage

IMPORTANT:

Part of our selection procedure is a HireVue Assessment. We are not able to correspond the outcome of this HireVue Assessment but will use this as an extra selection criterion.

Our intern remuneration package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you perform a part-time internship, you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips products at our Philips shop
