M ain purpose of the internship :

The Category Management team is responsible for developing growth for the category ( Nutrition , Ice Cream, Home Care, Personal Care or Beauty and Wellbeing ) by making sure that the shopper’s voice is relayed within the business. The team build s and deploy s category, shopper and channel expertise . They are the external knowledge catalyser which gives strategic category and cross category advice internally a s well as to the retailers Unilever works with. During this internship you will gain a deep understanding of the business and the many challenges it faces , and you will learn how to make a success out of a product in a fast-paced environment.

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities could be (amongst others):

• Measure and share category, brand & retailer performance

• Use insights to help craft and define concrete plans that deliver a triple Win for the Shopper, the Customer and Unilever

• Daily use of market information: Nielsen, Cypher, GfK, POS, field reports

• Assistance in b uilding strong assortment, shelving and promotional recommendations based on data & shopper insights and research

  What we ask:

• You must be enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student from a U niversity , Business School or equivalent during the entire internship . Your studies must have an analytic component . For example: courses on Statistics, Market Assessment, Marketing research or Marketing intelligence.

• You are available for a minimum of 3 months and ideally for 6 months (at least 32 hours a week) .

• You are fluent in English + Dutch or French .

• You are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility.

• You are a self-starter, able to work autonomously .

• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and feel comfortable with data analysis.

• You are a pro-active and dynamic person, able to anticipate the needs of your team.

• You are curious, eager to learn new things and to explore new ideas and approaches to solving challenges.

• You are able to work with a diversity of people and teams .

• You are familiar with MS office tools . I n particular Excel a nd PowerPoint .
