Job Description/Preferred Qualifications KLA is looking for summer interns at our Ann Arbor, Michigan location. This position provides an opportunity to work with engineering teams on projects in the field of Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry, aiming to improve the performance and capabilities of KLA's inspection and metrology tools! In particular, the intern would work in one or more of the following areas: Basic operation of a modern GCMS systems (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometer). Maintain analytical equipment within qualification through calibrations, tests and best known sample hygiene practices. Ensure data quality and sample integrity from sample receipt to report delivery. Maintain a healthy inventory of clean sampling equipment. Perform routine analysis on received samples and send results in a timely manner. Maintain good documentation practices and follow protocols/methods/test plans. Assist with research which may involve writing, elaborate data analysis, and literature searches.Requirements: Strong data analysis skills. Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry and chromatography, especially LCMS, GCMS, GC, HPLC or UPLC is a plus.
