Job Description
Overview:
The Employee Lifecycle Intern (Human Resources) will primarily support prepayroll functions and the administrative activities necessary for onboarding new hires. This role ensures that all prepayroll data is accurate and complete before employees are processed for payroll, while also assisting with scheduling a limited number of background checks and medical exams to maintain compliance and a smooth onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepayroll Administration:
Collect, verify, and update new hire documentation for payroll systems.
Enter and maintain accurate employee data (e.g., personal information, bank details, working hours, and leave balances) in HR and payroll systems.
Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure timely data submission ahead of each payroll cycle.
Assist with the reconciliation of payroll records by conducting regular data audits.
Onboarding Support:
Coordinate the scheduling of mandatory background checks and medical examinations for new hires.
Communicate appointment details and follow-up actions with candidates.
Maintain confidential records of pre-employment screening activities.
General HR Support:
Provide administrative assistance with the preparation of onboarding materials and new hire packets.
Support the HR team in updating employee records and ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant legal requirements.
Assist in organizing brief orientation sessions to help new hires understand prepayroll procedures and required documentation.
Relevant Competencies
Technical & Administrative Skills:
Data Management:
Proficient in entering, verifying, and managing employee data with strong attention to detail.
HR Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Dayforce) to maintain accurate records.

Ability to conduct data audits and ensure compliance with payroll and regulatory requirements.
Organizational & Time Management Skills:

Skilled in managing multiple tasks concurrently while focusing on timely prepayroll data entry.

Ability to effectively communicate with candidates and internal teams regarding prepayroll requirements and onboarding schedules.
