Clean Harbors Mechanical Engineer Intern in Aragonite, Utah
Clean Harbors Aragonite in Utah is seeking Mechanical Engineering Intern candidates to join our team for a hands-on learning experience in environmental engineering and facility operations. This internship provides an exciting opportunity for junior and senior mechanical engineering students to gain practical experience in project management, facility engineering, and environmental compliance at one of North America's leading hazardous waste management facilities.

Assist the Facility Engineer with mechanical systems design, modification, and troubleshooting
Support equipment maintenance activities and help develop preventative maintenance procedures
Learn about mechanical components of waste processing and incineration systems
Help design and implement equipment modifications to improve efficiency and reliability
Assist with technical documentation for mechanical systems and equipment
Participate in project planning, execution, and evaluation for facility improvements
Learn about regulatory compliance related to mechanical systems in hazardous waste management
Other duties as assigned
Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited US University
Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred but not required
Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Project
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and P&IDs
Team player with excellent communication skills
Ability to work in an industrial environment
Valid Driver's License required
Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug screen (including cannabis) and physical
Respirator fit test upon hire may be required
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions
