Position Summary

Students will be provided robust job assignments in the area(s) closest associated with their degree or skills. We are looking for junior/senior Industrial Engineering students who are able to observe our manufacturing process, and make recommendations to improve, Process design & layout, safety, and project management.

This position is onsite in Asheboro, NC.

Responsibilities

Students will be provided a mentor to guide them through their assignments and routine feedback. Students will be expected to

• Observe, research, and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Work with assigned mentor on their specified project.

• Conduct time studies and make recommendations to eliminate inefficiencies and improve production procedures.

• Focus on enhancing our “Safety First” culture by observing processes, procedures, and equipment.

• There will be an expectation of a final report, both oral and written on a specific project selected.

• Other job duties as assigned.

We we are looking for

The ideal candidate will be an upper-classman pursuing their engineering or technical degree with the desire to improve Energizer’s plant operations in Asheboro, having a positive impact on the colleagues in the facility.

• Must be a current Junior or Senio r pursuing their Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Industrial Engineering or other technical fields

• Must be able to work onsite in Asheboro, North Carolina

• Engineering mindset & approach to problems

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation

• Microsoft office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S.
