Description

We are a leading telecommunications engineering group specializing in infrastructure consulting and production engineering. Our team is dedicated to supporting telecom carrier upgrades and buildouts across the U.S. and Canada. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting engineering and project coordination efforts for telecom infrastructure projects.

Your Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern for the summer term. The intern will assist with office-based and field-support activities related to telecommunications infrastructure projects. This includes supporting architectural design efforts, project coordination, and conducting site visits across the Southeast region.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with engineering support for telecom carrier upgrades and new site buildouts.

  • Conduct site visits and gather field data to support design requirements.

  • Support project coordination activities, including scheduling, documentation, and communication with stakeholders.

  • Review and update engineering documentation, drawings, and reports.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Proficient in CADD with basic understanding of Revit and AutoCad, and the use of it as a drafting/design tool.

  • Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting.

  • Ability to take direction, follow process and accept feedback and suggestions from senior engineers/designers.

Education and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technology field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CAD software is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel for site visits within the southeast region.
