Day-to-day tasks consist of data extraction & data aggregation in tools such as Excel, Cognos, Power BI, and UI Path. Throughout the internship, the Intern will be working with key IT resources to extract and consolidate data from various data sources and entities, meeting with customers both internal and external to understand business problems that we are facing and solving through business insight and data. Presentation of those findings to key stakeholders in the business will learn real-world concepts, methodologies and techniques as it relates to Data & Analytics.Internship Dates: June 3rd-August 9th, 2019There is no relocation/housing assistance available for this roleResponsibilitiesWork directly with key IT resources to extract and consolidate data from various data sources and entitiesMeeting with customers both internal and external to understand business problems that we are facing and solving through business insight through dataCompleting key weekly reports sent to internal and external clientsMonitoring analytics and metricsInnovating-Developing new data analysis methodologiesWorking with sales teams to deliver trends in client engagementsShared responsibility in organizing and collecting meeting notes, key deliverables and timelinesMaintain appropriate records of research methods and resultsEffectively communicate project status to management and business stakeholdersUpholds the Crawford Code of ConductRequirementsRising sophomore or higher in good standing at an accredited college or university is required.Grade Point Average of at least 2.5 or equivalent is requiredPrior work experience of some type is requiredPursuing a major in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or Risk Management & Insurance is preferredWorking knowledge of various analytics platforms & business support applications such as MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Project) requiredGeneral exposure to SQL and accessing database structures for database systems such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Access is preferredAbility to facilitate effective and efficient meetings to gather information and outline processesWork successfully in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment in which meticulous attention to detail is expectedExhibit exceptional organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and analytical/problem solving skillsTakes initiative to accomplish business objectives, seek new assignments, and request to learn more about the businessAbout UsPeople taking care of people.
