Johns Hopkins University Research IT Assistant (Intern) Baltimore, Maryland
IT@JH Health IT is looking for a Research IT Assistant (Intern) to join the team in the summer of 2025. We are seeking a smart, enthusiastic individual to be part of our ongoing rebranding and restructuring of Research IT. The applicant who fills this position will also be involved in the system configuration and maintenance of our Clinical Trials Management system and will be involved in the implementation of the new digital Clinical Trials Regulatory tracking system. This position will also be involved in some system configuration and testing of Epic Research application updates. The individual filling this position must possess analytical skill, like to solve problems, be organized and a self-starter.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Under guidance work on system configuration and testing for the Clinical Trials Management System.
Under guidance work on system configuration and testing for the Digital Clinical Trials Regulatory System.
Work with Training team to create or update end user training documentation as appropriate.
Under guidance work on system configuration and testing for the Epic Research application.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong analytical and written communication skills. Knowledge of basic concepts in Health IT or IT field.
Demonstrates attention to detail in data gathering, specifications development and documentation.
Experience with website design or technical documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
Some college.
Some experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrates basic knowledge of computer systems as acquired through courses toward a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Clinical Studies, or Business Administration.
Experience in Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Word, and Excel.
