Join Micron Technology’s Co-Design Team as a Package Design team where you will participate in projects that support design team objectives and engineered options for future advanced semiconductor device packaging such as wire bond and Flip Chip interconnect solutions for DRAM and LPDDR packaged memory. As an intern, you will assist our design team in identifying solution opportunities considering optimized electrical performance, considering high speed interfaces, power integrity, and thermal aspects. Projects will be assigned with clear deliverables and due dates. You will be mentored by Co-Design Senior, Fellow, and Technical Staff Engineers to deliver project completions on time that meet objectives.

Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Semiconductor-to-Package Codesign Project Ownership and Support

  • Work closely with Co-Design Design Engineers to support package and silicon architectures

  • Conduct feasibility studies for various package options for optimized die floor planning, interconnection scheme, manufacturability, and cost.

  • Provide design support for thermal/mechanical/electrical simulation analysis.

  • Projects may include competitive analysis assessment and recommendation based on Micron provided information.

Qualifications:

  • ·At least two years of industry or academic experience in semiconductor packaging is preferred in the areas of substrate design, PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design, signal and power integrity analysis, Cadence Allegro, and AutoCAD tools, assembly process and materials, product engineering, quality, and reliability.

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.

  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment and take instruction from mentors

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.

Education:

  • PhD or master's in electrical engineering (preferred) or a related field that covers a wide range of topics in mechanical engineering, materials science, or other interdisciplinary areas.

  • ​Candidate should have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering

  • Candidate cannot graduate prior to September 2025
