Zebra Technologies builds tracking technology and solutions that generate actionable information and insight, giving companies unprecedented visibility into their businesses by giving physical things a digital voice. Brno Finance Shared Services Centre covers Accounts receivable (AR), Accounts payable (AP), General ledger (GL), Treasury, Payroll and Finance analysis activities. From Brno, we provide support to EMEA, APAC and Americas regions.

GBS Treasury Team in Brno supports EMEA and APAC regions. The team is responsible for managing cash, cash-flow forecast. We also report to our stakeholders on regular basis and do ad-hoc analysis of our operations. Amongst others we oversee intercompany settlements, cash-pool transfers, bank relationships and manual payments processing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our Brno Treasury team . You will be responsible for assisting the department’s operations. You will get to know more about banks, different payment mechanisms and various country regulations. You will also gain som e basic knowledge of the tools we use in Treasury.

Looking for a part-time or full-time

Responsibilities:

• Actively manages company’s cash position for assigned legal entities

• Manages cash forecast on weekly basis

• Manages and supports intercompany settlement process

• Manages bank accounts and communicates with the banking counterparties (opening, closing, KYC, FATCA)

• Actively drives activities reducing trapped or idle cash by close cooperation with Legal, Tax and Accounting

• Increases efficiencies and drives continuous improvements of processes

• Maintains and updates relevant policies and procedures

• Works independently on treasury related projects

• Provides regular reports to the Treasury manager

• Closely cooperates with remote team members in other regions

• Resolves any internal inquiries related to proof of payments and further bank investigations on ad hoc basis

• Supports manual payments team and provides approvals according to internal policy on ad hoc basis

Qualifications:

• College student engaged in a business-related major (i.e. Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy, Management Information Systems, etc.)

• NO prior experience required

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (upper-intermediate Excel)

• Experience with PowerBI, Power Automate or databases is a plus

• Strong professional written and oral communication skills in English

• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, innovative mindset

• Well organized person, attention to detail as well as ability to see high-level picture, stress resistance, strong team spirit

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate as part of a team

• Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
