In this Finance Internship you will support the team responsible for the actual consolidation and financial reporting of all 300+ GE HealthCare entities. During this min 6 months internship you will learn about technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver timely and accurate actual financial reporting - in a global healthcare organization.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

As a Finance Intern, you will be responsible for performing basic journal entries with oversight and review from more senior accountants. You will follow an individual work plan and meet day-to-day short term objectives by:

• Preparing basic journal entries following local accounting procedures and US GAAP

• Driving the timely preparation of assigned journal entries driving increased efficiency

• Preparing periodic balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations

• Supporting more senior accountants on audit requests, balance sheet reviews, and other adhoc tasks

• Preparing analysis and explanations behind variations for group reporting requirements, reports for country statistical office, central bank or tax authorities

• Collecting and processing intrastat data for trade of goods/services between EU members.

Your profile:

• You have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience/knowledge) and ideally a first experience in a similar internship/role

• You are a student at an accredited University in Hungary

• You have very strong English skills (written and verbal fluency) and a first understanding of state-of-the-art Finance Software Solutions like SAP

• You are also familiar with management through KPIs, seeking for efficiency and have a demonstrated ability to work autonomously

• You are able to plan and prioritize multiple tasks and resources and have a process oriented mindset

• Fluency / basic competencies in additional European language (other than English) is not a must have but a benefit
