RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft press releases, media pitches, and other written materials to effectively convey essential messages and event details to both the media and internal stakeholders.

  • Assist in media relations efforts which include compiling media lists, crafting quotes, and key talking points.

  • Monitor all Insomniac press coverage and compile a daily coverage report for the PR team

  • Participate in department meetings and conference calls.

  • Monitor and respond to emails received at press@insomniac.com

  • Manage media requests sent to press@insomniac.com for club shows and festivals

  • Manage and maintain the press.insomniac.com site with current festival information

  • Assist in media request approvals and denials for all club shows and festivals

  • Coordinate with external agencies on tasks such as fact-checking, announcement schedules, and providing accompanying media assets

  • Pull photo selects following concerts and branded shows

  • Gather and provide data for internal research projects and pitch decks

  • Project-manage various other short-term assignments, as assigned

  • Perform any other press -related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years of age and currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school

  • Must provide documentation from school that you will be receiving college credit for the internship

  • Preferred candidates will be studying Public Relations/Communications, English, and/or entertainment-industry majors, preferably in at least their junior year of college.

  • Previous internship or work experience in public relations and communications is a plus

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in using Google Drive is highly preferred

  • Must be able to work out of Calabasas, CA office at least 2-3 days a week for 6+ hours per day

  • Typical commitment is 18-24 hours per week

  • Must have deep understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok)

  • Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude

  • Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small

  • Knowledge of dance music and Insomniac’s brands

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

  • May work in drastic temperature climates

  • Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines

The expected compensation for this position in California is:

$16.90 USD - $17.00 USD Hourly
