About the Role & Program
The Disney Destinations Communications Intern is a member of our global Sales, Services & Events team, supporting the portfolio of U.S. based Disney Destinations – Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions and Aulani – A Disney Resort & Spa!
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from June 2025 - January 2026.
What You Will Do
This role will support internal and third-party client communication initiatives from across the portfolio, local Cast engagement efforts, social media content creation and the day-to-day message distribution for operational updates! The selected candidate will assist with the development and implementation of communication strategies through writing and graphic design.
Develop tactics to support communication strategies under the leadership of the Sales Communication Manager, including editorial content as needed
Design engaging visuals for a variety of uses, such as digital signage, presentations and Cast recognition initiatives
Photography for use in print and electronic communications
Support communication distribution needs, including posting of print collateral, updating content on intranet sites, and handling mass email distributions for Cast and clients
Crafting creative and engaging social media content for Disney Travel Professional social media platforms
Required Qualifications & Skills
Graphic design experience and ability to share innovative and creative ideas
Strong written/verbal communication and collaborative skills
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent proofreading/editing skills with keen attention to detail
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills while working independently or in a group
Ability to set priorities, yet remain flexible, concerning projects/assignments
Flexible with work schedule including occasional weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Experience with video production
Ability to learn new software applications with an understanding of web-based CMS
Strong administrative skills with experience working in a professional environment
Proficient in AP Style writing, grammar and punctuation
Ability to remain calm under pressure and work under tight deadlines
Required Materials

Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Communications, Journalism, English, Graphic Design, Marketing/PR or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization

Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 - January 2026
Fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 per week) and have a consistent, reliable work schedule for the duration of the internship
Transportation: Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, Florida area

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, Florida is $22.00 per hour.
