Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Developer/Quality Assurance (QA) Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in coding, testing, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the quality and functionality of software products.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues.
  • Participate in requirement analysis and review to provide feedback on testability.
  • Execute regression tests to verify that existing functionalities are not broken by new changes.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of test environments.
  • Work closely with the development team to understand product functionality and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation related to testing processes and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of programming languages such as C#, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Unity is a plus.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Often the employee will be required to stand and walk. Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 20 lbs. and to sit and work at a computer for upwards of 4 hours at a time. Often the employee will be sitting at a desk for long periods of time using a computer.

Additional Requirements, if any:

  • Full time position consisting of 40+hours per week; normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require periodic overtime and weekend work during periods of high production or deadlines.
