DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will gain valuable experience working alongside seasoned environmental professionals on various projects such as National Environmental Policy Act documents, environmental impact assessments, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives. Through the application of your academic knowledge and the acquisition of practical skills, you will be well-equipped for a fulfilling career in the environmental sector.

Internship opportunities associated with this posting will be for Engineering District 2 which consists of Clearfield, Centre, Clinton, Cameron, McKean, Potter, Mifflin and Juniata Counties.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Students who are interested in a PennDOT internship must meet all of the following requirements: Must be a high school graduate or college student enrolled (or intending to enroll) on a full-time or part-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester. Acceptable Majors: Environmental engineering Environmental science and sustainability Wildlife ecology Must be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher) Must be at least 18 years of age.

Condition of Employment: Upon verification of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License without incident, some positions may be authorized to operate Department vehicles as part of this job.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
