Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District Administration and External Affairs (AEA) Paraprofessional Intern (Part Time) in Cleveland, Ohio

Description ANTICIPATED LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: 3-6 Months with the option to renew at the conclusion of the term. JOB SUMMARY The intern will assist with various projects throughout the assignment, including, but not limited to: Project Title: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Recruitment Campaign Support the recruitment campaign for the Sewer District's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Work with DE&I and Communications Teams to develop marketing strategy. Visit site locations to promote ERGs and distribute marketing materials. Track registrations for DE&I Specialist. Attend ERG meetings, take notes and track action items. Assist DE&I Specialist with other projects as needed. Project Title: Clean Water Fest Assist with the promotion and marketing of the Clean Water Fest, including distribution of save the date cards to local community groups, public libraries, recreation centers and general public. Assist with media coordination and promotion in advance of September event. Project Title: Administrative Assist with scheduling, coordination and attendance at various events as needed, including preparation of materials and development of talking points. Assist with procurement of materials and tracking products as they are received. Assist with mailing and other administrative duties as assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Academic Status/Standing: Candidate must be enrolled in school or must have graduated within 24 months from the date of application. Field of Study: Declared Majors: Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Education or a related field of study. Degree Program Levels: Any of the following degree program levels may qualify Bachelor Degree (Junior - Senior) Master/Doctoral Degree MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Candidate must be able to work up to 20 hours per week. Working hours are Monday - Friday during normal business hours but will require some weeknight and weekend hours. Work hours will be adjusted as appropriate for interns who are enrolled in school. Candidate must be able to commit to up to a minimum three-month assignment with an option to extend the assignment at NEORSD's discretion and funding ability. This internship program provides for a time-limited role at NEORSD with no express or implied guarantee of future employment beyond the assignment period. This position is governed by all applicable NEORSD administrative policies, practices and procedures related to temporary employees. Candidate must possess a valid state of Ohio driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the District. Must have a reliable form of transportation and/or be comfortable driving NEORSD-provided fleet vehicles including Ford Transit Connect.
