The Sherwin-Williams Company Graphic Design Intern, Marketing Communications in Cleveland, Ohio

The Graphic Design Intern on the Sherwin-Williams Paint Stores Group Marketing Communications team is responsible for supporting the Creative Team in assisting in developing creative assets from ideation to implementation. The Graphic Design Intern will work closely with Creative Managers, Graphic Designers, and Copywriters to ensure the creative is well-designed and adheres to brand guidelines. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Assist Creative Team in conceptualizing, developing, and designing cross-channel creative assets for the Paint Stores Group. Projects include (but not limited to): social, digital, print, and email. Partner closely with Creative Managers, Graphic Designers and Copywriters to optimize designs. Ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines and are compelling to the target audience. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of marketing/design best practices and brand standards and apply to all work. Manage, update, archive and maintain graphic files and assets. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Minimum high school education or equivalent Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications Design, Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Communications, Advertising or equivalent Preferred: Expected graduation date in 2025 KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: Completion of relevant Graphic Design courses or similar Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Collaborative work style Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Portfolio showcasing relevant work Preferred: Experience with Project Management Systems (WorkFront) and Digital Asset Management Systems TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Strong Adobe Creative Suite knowledge (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Microsoft Suite familiarity (Word, Powerpoint) Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Share Point and PowerPoint. Ability to learn new technology systems. Possesses strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to proactively act, prioritize and plan work activities; adapt to changing conditions.
