Our people make all the difference in our success. We have an opening for a Summer Intern within our Manufacturing Engineering Department. As the Summer Intern your focus will be to: Assist with implementation of new thread rolling machine: Evaluate tooling dies on hand and dies needed for product. Assist with layout for product flow and machine placement. Help with documenting work instructions. Assist with Screw Polishing: Document and track production stages as we move from Black Oxide coating to polished and oiled. Document best practice for storage of polished products. Assist in evaluation of removal of old equipment and tooling. Other possible exposure: Induction heat treat process and documentation (set-up and run recipes). ERP system reviews and router edits. General manufacturing involvement with Turning, Milling, and Grinding. Tooling and tooling life. Set-up and production run procedures. Geometry and part challenges. Tool holding and part fixturing. In process prints print generation and changes (Solidworks). Manufacturing cycle time studies. Education Completion and acceptance of program between company and educational institute is mandatory prior to applying.
