Position Overview

Summary : Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, Texas, Inc. is offering exciting summer internships for college students who have completed at least their sophomore year. We provide a supportive and collaborative teaching environment to help interns develop their skills and pinpoint their career goals. This opportunity offers invaluable experience with an industry-leading biopharmaceutical contractdevelopmentmanufacturing organization.Interns will work under the guidance of a department manager on a project focused on enhancing current processes and improving efficiency.Internships typically run from mid-May to August, with specific dates determined collaboratively between the intern, their supervisor, and Human Resources.

The CAPEX Intern, under the supervision of the Principal Project Manager for Capital Projects, will be responsible for the support of capital projects documentation through the management of initiation and close out documents, schedule tracking, and multi-departmental approval routing.

Start Date: This internship is set to beginonMay19th,2025for an 11-week duration endingonAugust8th2025.

Relocation: Please note this Internship Opportunity is designed to be 100% Onsite, 40 hours/week and a relocation/housing stipend is not provided.

Job Description

Essential Functions (will vary based on departmental need) :

  • Work with end users to identify, define, and implement capital projects.

  • Partner with end users to ensure recommended equipment meets requirements.

  • Synthesize technical information from User Requirement Specification forms, existing equipment/utility configurations, and vendor equipment information to create project Request for Concurrence (RFC) forms.

  • Track RFC forms through multi-departmental approval routing.

  • Update and track financial dashboards and KPIs.

  • Perform asset inductions into Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Assist with the coordination of calibration and validation activities as related to capital projects.

  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly project updates for project sponsors, department heads, and Steering Committee.

  • Work directly with contractors to coordinate and monitor construction and installation of new equipment.

  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve.

  • Gather technical information from User Requirement Specification forms to Request for Concurrence forms.

  • Work effectively to gather any information for the set-up, creation, and maintenance of material numbers within SAP and MasterControl.

  • Communicate with management on delays and obstacles that may affect daily functions.

  • Create basic schedules for projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strongproficiencywith MS Office applicationsincludingExcel and Word.

  • Ability to go into labs and/or cleanrooms and dress inappropriate attireifrequired.

  • Demonstrated leadership skillsand self-motivation.

  • Excellent organizationalskills.

  • Excellentattention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Full-timeUndergraduatewho has completed their sophomore year,or Graduatestudent, preferably in Engineering or Science with a background or interest in business or finance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some knowledge of biotech/biopharmais preferred.
