Description of Duties:

At Jacobs, we help transitioning service members, from all branches of the U.S. Military, prepare for new opportunities and connections in their careers.

The DoD Skillbridge Internship supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. Jacobs has teamed up with the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program to provide career opportunities in:

· IT Services

· Engineering

· Systems Architecture

· Mission Event Planning

· Configuration Management

· Finance

· Software Development

· Cybersecurity

· Satellite Ground Segment Operations

· Project Management

· Construction

· Intelligence

This internship will be located at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL depending on the position. If you are outside of these areas this will require relocation to the location the internship will be at.

SkillBridge fellows will not be eligible for any compensation during their fellowship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits. Upon successful completion of this fellowship, you will be well prepared and encouraged to apply for open positions listed on our careers page.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Basic Requirements:

· To have served at least 180 days in any of the U.S. Armed Forces

· To be within 180 days of separation or retirement from any of the U.S. Armed Forces (you may start your application prior to the 180 days)

· Must be on track to receive an Honorable Discharge

· Must have taken any service TAPS/TGPS

· Must have attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months

· Must have command approval to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program

Desired Requirements:

· An active DoD security clearance

· DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Security CE, GSEC or similar)
