Description of Duties:

The Mechanical Engineer Intern supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will participate in a 4-month internship consisting of:

• Assisting in the drafting of designs

• Assisting in requirements gathering for current projects

• Assisting in the development and review of project specifications

• Assisting in the review of technical baseline drawings

Successful candidates will:

• Have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal ‘teaming’ soft skills

• Have proficiency with MS Office

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 1 year of general experience

• Must be a current college student studying for mechanical engineering degree in their Junior or Senior year

• Must have, or be able to obtain, a DoD Secret Security Clearance

This position is expected to pay $43,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
