Job Summary
Seeking a motivated, personable environmental field sampling intern to work on a team that will perform drinking water sampling in private residences in several cities in the U.S. in order to explore concerns about lead service lines and related problems.
We are currently seeking an Environmental Sciences Intern for Summer 2025 . This position is located in Columbus, OH with frequent travel to other U.S. cities.
Responsibilities
Perform support activities surrounding a drinking water sampling project to be conducted in up to 10 cities around the country
Coordinate and plan sampling through phone and email communications with homeowners
Prepare for sampling by printing labels, chain of custody documents, organizing bottles and coolers
Travel with the sampling team to perform sampling in participating cities
Assist with data analysis of results from post-sampling laboratory analysis
Assist with report preparation
Key Qualifications
Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Public Health or related Engineering discipline
Undergrad research experience
Must have at least two years of college experience completed by the start of the internship
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer students local to Columbus, OH with ability to work part-time during the school year
