Position Overview Responsible for performing and assisting in compliance, performance, system, and process audits as directed by Internal Audit Supervisor. Assist in the Internal Audit Department in completing reviews that help the business manage strategic risks, improve, or develop efficient and effective business processes, identify, and communicate best practices and foster appropriate control levels for business and financial risks. The Data Analyst Intern will work closely with BI Developers, Data Engineers, and technical resources to support the design and delivery of priority analytical solutions. Job Responsibilities Assist in the examination and evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of Hexion's system of internal controls. Assist in the review of the reliability & integrity of financial and operating information and the means used to identify, measure, classify and report critical information Assist in the review of the systems established to ensure compliance with Hexion policies, plans, procedures, laws, regulations, and contract which could significantly impact operations and reporting Assist in the review of safeguarding of Hexion's assets Assist in gathering of necessary information to perform an audit in a professional manner and in accordance with the approved audit plan Assist in the preparations if work papers that record and summarize data during the assigned audit. Effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization to support Internal Audit team Reliably complete work and assignments as directed by Manager
