Jacobs Design Management Intern - Water in Corvallis, Oregon

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Design Management Intern to join our Water Group out of Corvallis, OR, where, as a member of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on a breadth of water and wastewater projects that cannot be matched. The Design Management Intern is an inwardly facing leader/manager responsible for the technical production and delivery of the construction documents for water/wastewater infrastructure. This is in partnership to the Project Manager (PM) whose specific responsibilities include project delivery stewardship and client satisfaction.

We'll Expect You To:

  • Plan the design project (scope, resources and staffing, level of effort and fee, schedule).

  • Facilitate effective communication between team members.

  • Develop and implement health and safety plans, quality plans, and delivery best practices.

  • Develop project status reports and change management planning.

  • Create budgeting goals.

  • support design management activities for our NW Infrastructure Design Department.

  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program

  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Strong Self-Motivation, leadership, and organizational skills
