Your day at NTT DATA

This role works under the guidance of more senior professional colleagues. The Intern / Apprentice assists with tasks relevant to the specific area or function. This position allows the incumbent the opportunity to develop capability in his/her area of study.

What you'll be doing

​Stock & Facility Management

  • Responsible for receiving and controlling of equipment orders

  • Bookings on SAP: enter serial number, create delivery note and maintain data up to date

  • Carefully consolidate, prepare, pack, and dispatch the equipment for orders ready to be shipped to the client

  • Collect all requested information for customs clearance (HTS code, country of origin, commercial invoice, contacts on site, serial number) for shipments outside of Switzerland

  • Contact the freight forwarder to collect the goods and remain available (ideally onsite) when the carrier arrives at the building facilities

  • Monitor and track the shipments and manage encountered issue when necessary

  • Liaise with customers in case of return to the supplier (guidance to pack correctly)

  • Manage archives and various stocks (packaging supplies, drinks, etc.) and place relevant orders where necessary

  • Provide logistical support to various departments

  • Act as Backoffice back up (contract management, procurement, office coordination)

IT Technical Support

  • Prepare new employee kit (laptop, headset, mouse, bag, badge)

  • Collect leaver’s kit (laptop, headset, mouse, bag, badge) and reset the devices for reuse or disposal

  • Provide replacement laptop in case of work impacting hardware defect

  • Manage IT assets: peripheral handout and stock level management

  • Provide workspace support (video conferences, printers, alarm and badge system, etc.)

Other

  • Ordering online (paper, coffees)

  • Mail

Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Solid time management skills and problem-solving orientation.

  • Display an advanced level of client orientation.

  • Good knowledge of import and export practices and processes.

  • An understanding of global trade, marine and transit insurance and letters of credit.

  • Organization, and planning; effective and efficient communication skills.

  • Solid attention to detail with adequate understanding of the order fulfilment cycle.

  • Knowledge of logistics software or transport management systems.

  • Basic accounting knowledge.

  • Familiarity with relevant rules, regulations and standards.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • High School Certification or equivalent qualification.

  • Relevant Logistics / Supply Chain certification desirable.
