Henry Ford Health System Psychology Intern in Detroit, Michigan

Under the direct supervision of a licensed psychologist assigned by the Program Director of the Psychology Internship Program, functions as a psychologist in training. In general the scope of activities is that of a licensed psychologist.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The intern must meet one of the following educational requirements:

  1. Maintains enrollment in a doctoral program in clinical psychology or clinical health psychology or clinical neuropsychology, completion of all prerequisites for internship as indicated by the university training directors certificate of readiness are required, and maintains good standing in that doctoral program. The program must be listed as a clinical, counseling program, neuropsychology, or health psychology program by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

  2. Completion of a Ph.D, or Psy.D (in some cases Ed.D) program in clinical, counseling, health or neuro psychology and certification from the training director of readiness for internship.

  3. Completion of a Ph.D. in a branch of psychology other than clinical, counseling, health, or neuro psychology plus enrollment in a respecialization program recognized by the National Register or the APA . Enrollment in an APA accredited program is preferred.

  4. Must be able to communicate in both written and oral English without assistance and must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident or must have appropriate visa.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: The intern must apply for a limited license in psychology in Michigan.
