Fortive Corporation Procurement Intern Everett, Washington

As a summer Procurement Intern on the global Procurement team, you will assist in optimizing supply chain operations, using your analytical and problem-solving skills to improve processes, and supporting supply chain & engineering projects related to cost productivity.

Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, likes to collaborate cross functionally and asks questions, learn new systems and processes and communicates well with others in multiple formats.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and validation of documentation packages for RFQ’s

  • Modify or create 3D CAD models and drawings to optimize manufacturing efficiency

  • Ability to generate process and procedure documents for sheet metal fabrication assembly

  • Interface with the suppliers on RFQ expectations and pricing targets.

  • Ability to perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis of supplier RFQ’s to determine the supplier with the best total landed cost

  • Work with the cross-functional team to assist in part qualification, including physical measurement and validation of components into products

  • Utilize the Fortive Business System (FBS), incl. the Problem Solving Process, Kaizen activities and others as part of the project.

Requirements and skills

  • Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

  • Desire to ask questions and learn new processes.

  • Strong communication, leadership skills preferred

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to take direction but also provide ideas for improvements.

  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams).

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, graduating December 2025 or later.

  • Candidate is able to work in a hybrid work environment 3 days per week in our Everett, WA location

  • Basic knowledge and experience with CAD tools

  • Ability to evaluate a mechanical drawing for completeness and accuracy

  • Project Management skills a plus
