We are seeking a summer 2025 intern to report directly to the Corporate Archivist/Records Manager. This role has potential Co-Op opportunity. This internship offers you an opportunity to gain practical experience and develop your skills in a collaborative learning environment, under the mentorship of our senior archivist.

On a typical day you will be responsible for:

• Processing of archival materials including photographs, slides, documents or printed materials

• Appraisal, assessment and selection of historical items

• Basic preservation, arrangement and description of materials

• Accession of items and input of details and information into database

• Handling proprietary and company-private material and information with the appropriate archival and records management steps, guidelines and processes

• Conducting historical research, writing and analysis

Qualifications:

• Current bachelor's or master's degree student pursuing History, Library Science, Information Management or Archival Program

• Background or classes in Research, Appraisal, Arrangement/Description, Processing and Archival Theory

• Ability to lift and move boxes up to 30 pounds

• Knowledge of scanning, digital records, Adobe Photoshop and metadata; records management a plus

• Good communication and presentation skills

• Ability to complete projects under tight deadlines

This summer internship will be a full-time position during day-shift hours, and is located in Farmington, CT.

The hourly range for this role is $20/hr to $26/hr. We may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
