Basic requirements are pursuing (or have obtained) a Bachelor's Degree with a 3.0 or higher GPA and intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Enterprise Risk Services serves DaVita through completion of Assurance and Advisory projects. As Internal Audit we are responsible for completing risk-based audits and advisory work both domestic and internationally. Reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, ERS has a unique perspective in our oversight role and get to oversee all functions of the company. Here's what you can expect as an Intern in ERS: DaVita Inc.'s ERS Team is looking for a summer intern in a hybrid role (2 days in office) that has a great attitude, strong attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn and develop new skills. This is a great analytical position for applicants with majors in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Math, and Business and many others. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Engagement Planning: Performing research through a broad spectrum of methods including web searches, professional publications, webinars/conferences and others to identify relevant risks, regulations, processes and other information relevant to the engagement topic. Prepping interview questions for business partners and other oversight groups (asking questions and taking notes). Assisting the engagement supervisor(s) in drafting required planning documents (vary by project type). Engagement Fieldwork: Participating in walkthroughs with business partners at the direction of supervisor(s) to understand processes and controls, documenting results in a flowchart/narrative Completing assigned tests and work papers accurately and completely (examples include evaluation of design of controls, confirming control was performed/evidenced as well as analysis of financial or other records), under supervision, by documenting results of work performed, referencing supporting documentation and recording any conclusions. Assisting the engagement supervisor(s) in validating exceptions or observations identified with business partners. Engagement Reporting: Participating in meetings to convey engagement findings and recommendations to Management and preparation of required documents (vary by project type). Participating in reading / editing final engagement report to ensure accuracy and alignment with work performed.
