Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a GIS Intern to join our Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote postion.

Responsibilities

• Design, create and print professional level graphic representations of the data as maps.

• Perform analytical tabular and spatial queries.

• Perform research and analyze data from various data sources.

• Assist with creating, compiling, updating, and analyzing various geographic and tabular datasets

• Create interactive Esri ArcGIS web-based applications.

• Demonstrated ability and desire to provide data-driven solutions

• Excellent communication to identify, seek and promote geospatial thinking

• Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic

• Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines

• Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment

• Passion and demonstrated drive to identify and achieve goals

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving a Bachelor or Master’s degree with concentration in GIS

• Experience with GIS specifically, ESRI ArcGIS.

• Exposure to analyzing spatial and tabular datasets.

• Experience with Microsoft Office programs specifically, Excel.
