Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Non-Engineering Audit Intern - PennDOT (College) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an intern, you will be conducting two types of desk reviews: The first type of review will require that you evaluate the capacity and qualifications of contractors and subcontractors to perform highway work in Pennsylvania. The next desk review will entail evaluation of architectural and engineering firms overhead cost submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal regulations. You will also perform a variety of analytical work utilizing industry-related specialized software and other tasks that are adjacent to desk reviews.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Interns will be headquartered at the DOT office closest to their residence. QUALIFICATIONS Students who are interested in a PennDOT internship must meet all of the following requirements: Must be a high school graduate or college student enrolled (or intending to enroll) on a full-time or part-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester. Acceptable Majors: Business Administration Accounting Must be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher) Must be at least 18 years of age.

Condition of Employment: Upon verification of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License without incident, some positions may be authorized to operate Department vehicles as part of this job.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
