Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Health Nutrition Consultant - Dietetic Internship Director in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

The Department of Health (DOH) is actively recruiting for the position of Public Health Nutrition Consultant - Dietetic Internship Director. This position, in the Bureau of Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) supports the bureau's mission of improving the nutrition and health of families. The Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) internship director for PA WIC is responsible for supporting the organization's director. This is accomplished by observing and monitoring business operations and reviewing the project management of every rotation to meet the successful project deliverables. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you are responsible for the overall coordination, management, implementation, and evaluation of the DOH, WIC Dietetic Internship program in accordance with the requirements of the ACEND Dietetic Internship program. You develop, implement, and assure on-going review of dietetic internship policies, procedures, and curriculum to ensure compliance with ACEND requirements and apply timely updates to policies, procedures, and major program changes. You also communicate all updates to key stakeholders. In addition, you maintain program accreditation, intern records, complaints, communication, and coordination with program preceptors and rotation sites.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. Please check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of professional nutrition or dietetics experience in a public health, education, social service, or closely related setting and a master's degree in human nutrition or a closely related field. Other Requirements:

This position requires applicants to be a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission of Registration of the American Dietetic Association. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
