The intern will speak with healthcare providers, patients, and family members to assess rick factors for infection and collect data. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This student position will conduct phone interviews as part of an enteric disease team. Responsibilities include interviewing patients with enteric diseases (such as Salmonella) routinely and during outbreaks. This position also assists with database management. This position may also offer the opportunity to work on special projects as time and interest permit.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Internship, works 15 to 20-hours per week (20 is the maximum). Work hours are irregular, Monday to Friday. Some remote work during evenings and weekends is required. Some ground travel is recommended, but not required. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:

Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree program or higher. Good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher). Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university. Additional Requirements:

You must possess a valid driver's license that is not under suspension. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
