DESCRIPTION OF WORK By taking on this internship, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting land surveys of State Park and State Forest lands throughout the entire Commonwealth. Your responsibilities will include assisting with records research for deeds and tax mapping, conducting field work to establish boundaries, helping with marking and staking boundaries, as well as assisting with file and database management.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/2024 through 8/30/2024. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: Interns will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time on a schedule that aligns with their supervisor, so they are in the office on the same days. No full time telework will be approved. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you must report to the office. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors: Surveying Forestry Civil Engineering An approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable. Freshman year completed. Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.
