What You’ll Do
Applied Materials’ Account Team is searching for an intern to join our team this Summer 2025! The field sales operations team is located in Hillsboro, OR supporting an industry leading customer. You will gain knowledge of semiconductor fabrication, establish understanding of the variable process, and develop the skills of design of experiment, systematic data analysis, and problem solving.
Role Responsibilities:
Performs routine assignments in the entry level to a professional job progression. Typically has knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts. Develops competence by performing structured work assignments. Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems. Receives instruction, guidance and direction from others.
Provides customer support through troubleshooting and data analysis, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
When necessary, works closely with colleagues and customer to optimize tool/process performance to meet customer process and integration requirements.
Knowledge and hands on experience of dry etch tool and processes and integration process flow. Prefer the knowledge and experience on advanced packaging module processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Student must be at least a Junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Materials Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.25 or above on a 4.0 scale
Familiarity with large data sets, python (or other language), JMP/Tableau/Matlab a plus
Performs routine assignments in an entry level to a professional job progression.
Typically has knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts of semiconductor tools, processes and devices.

- Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing
