DESCRIPTION:

As a BIM Technician Intern at Fisk Electric, reporting to the Director of Virtual Design Construction, you will have the opportunity to: gain hands-on experience with BIM technologies and workflows, and develop essential skills for a career in digital design and construction coordination.

  • Participate in BIM project coordination, assist with documentation, and contribute to the implementation of corporate BIM standards.

  • Support the BIM team by assisting in the development, modification, and maintenance of Revit families and BIM models

  • Aid in quality control checks, model reviews, and research related to BIM software and processes.

  • Assist in creating, modifying, and validating basic 2D and 3D construction drawings under supervision.

  • Support the Operations team by helping prepare field installation drawings and reviewing blueprint navigation.

  • Provide input on project tracking systems and collaborate with BIM leads to improve detailing and installation practices.

  • Learn to identify and communicate potential installation clashes with other trades.

  • Gain hands-on experience with VDC deliverables, record drawings, and workflow management.

  • Assist in reviewing submittals for equipment sizing and layout during modeling.

  • Support projects across various construction sectors including commercial, healthcare, and industrial

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

  • A foundational understanding of Revit, and the basis creation of construction documentation
