Position Summary

As an R&D Flavors Intern , you will assist the Flavors Group in scientific research projects designed to establish the foundational science for new healthy and tasty products. You will have the opportunity to explore the factors that enhance dairy creaminess in a defined product base while identifying practical solutions. Collaborating closely with experienced scientists specialized in Flavor Science and skilled technicians will provide you with valuable insights and hands-on skills in the field.
A Day in the Life of an R&D Flavors Intern
Conduct literature searches to gather relevant information on dairy creaminess modulation
Under the guidance of your experienced colleagues, plan, execute, and consolidate experiments to enhance understanding of creaminess modulation and contribute to proof of concept initiatives
Guided by team members, develop prototypes to illustrate scientific hypotheses and key findings
Support the development of analytical methods to measure taste-active compounds, including techniques such as LC-MS
Document research findings and present results in both written and oral formats at group and/or department meetings
What will make you successful
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Food Science, Analytical Science, Molecular and Biological Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology
Demonstrated interest or relevant experience in flavor and analytical chemistry; prior academic coursework or projects involving LC-MS is highly preferred
A strong sense of scientific curiosity coupled with a hands-on experimental approach
Self-motivated, pragmatic, and well-organized, with the ability to ability to work independently
Passionate about innovation and new technologies, showcasing a proactive 'can-do' attitude
Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
Proficient in MS Office applications
Fluent in English
