Martin/Martin, Inc. BIM Intern in Lakewood, Colorado

Description: Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a motivated Building Information Modeling (BIM) Intern to join our Structural Engineering Group in our Lakewood, Colorado office. This position will provide opportunities to work on a variety of structures throughout the greater Denver/Lakewood area.

The selected candidate should be willing to learn, work as part of a team, and provide high-quality designs for our clients.

Our Lakewood office is situated on the west side of Denver, which provides quick access to both the city and the mountains. Our staff usually spends less time in traffic and more time with their families and friends.

We strive to develop our staff both technically and professionally through our mentoring programs. Additionally, each project presents unique challenges and opportunities to learn and grow as a technician. The successful candidate will develop expertise in a broad range of BIM skills, demonstrate a willingness to learn, work as part of a team, and produce high-quality designs for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities Include: The following duties are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive. * Assisting with creating plans, sections, elevations, 3D views, details, and schedules from the model * Assisting in project set-up, including importing reference details, editing general notes, creating new file(s) and managing and linking external files * Maintaining internal and external modeling and drafting standards on projects * Communicates in a professional manner Requirements:Required Qualifications

  • Eager to learn
  • Currently pursuing or having a High School diploma
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills Desired Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a certificate, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in a curriculum featuring Revit

  • Experience with Revit Structure
