Job Description

We are now accepting internship applications

Intern Responsibilities / Projects:

Develop, sustain and implement strategies to increase diverse staffing. Support current local and BSC Champion roles in DEI to ensure implementation of defined strategies by the BSC. Promote opportunities for learning. Be engaged in self-learning and development, training and research to ensure a growing understanding of DEI efforts and benefits.

Materials:

The intern will be provided necessary resources, materials and documents to ensure acclimation to the role. A computer will be provided and an office space dependent upon the intern’s location.

Timeline:

This internship is intended to be one to two semesters and will be ongoing for a regular rotation of students.

Required Education and Experience

At the time of internship, must be currently enrolled in a undergraduate or graduate program in the following: Social Work, Psychology, criminal justice, or Human Services.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

This position requires an independent thinker and autonomous individual. As this is a new position the intern must be willing to engage in program development, create new documents, research programming options and implement strategies for continued sustainability. This person must have excellent written and oral communication skills. The individual must have an interest in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and display a commitment to further education or understanding of this critical area of work.
