The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers. The AWS Global Sales (AGS) team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.
The Customer Optimization and Acceleration (CO&A) team seeks an intern to join our London office. We are looking for interns who are passionate about helping customers succeed. As a Customer Optimization intern, you'll work alongside experienced specialists who serve as trusted advisors to AWS customers, helping them optimize their cloud usage and costs. This internship offers hands-on experience in customer engagement, data analysis, and cloud optimization, preparing you for potential future customer-facing roles in technology.
Key job responsibilities
Support customer optimization initiatives
• Assist in analyzing customer cloud usage patterns
• Help prepare optimization recommendations
• Learn to use AWS cost management tools
• Support documentation of customer engagements
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Analyze cloud usage data
• Create customer-facing presentations
• Track optimization metrics
• Generate insights from customer data
Customer Engagement Support
• Shadow customer meetings
• Help prepare customer communications
• Support stakeholder management
• Learn best practices in customer success
About the team
Join our international, diverse team focused on driving customer success through cloud optimization. Our team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mentorship. You'll work alongside experienced specialists who are dedicated to supporting new team members and sharing their expertise.
Mentorship & Development:
You'll be paired with experienced team members who will provide guidance throughout your internship. Projects will be assigned to help you develop both technical and business skills, with opportunities to learn about cloud optimization, customer engagement, and strategic problem-solving.
Basic Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (2025/2026 graduates)
• Professional fluency in English + one other European language
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to synthesize complex information
Preferred Qualifications
• Interest in cloud computing and technology and familiarity with using AI tools to enhance productivity
• Previous internship or project experience in customer-facing roles
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure concepts
• Highly organized, self-starter: You actively look for opportunities to improve and add value to your team and customers.
• Good Communicator: You are comfortable talking with all different kinds of people, interests, and walks of life. You write clearly, listen well, and use the right tone for the audience.
