DESCRIPTION OF WORK Our interns work directly with both DOC personnel and leadership across the corrections system to complete various projects and assignments. As an intern, you have access to confidential information and are responsible for maintaining complete confidentiality of that information. You are expected to always maintain and demonstrate professionalism. In addition, you are required to complete a short (paid) training curriculum during the first week of employment.

Interns also have the opportunity to visit several state correctional institutions and community corrections facilities to gain knowledge about the daily operations inside a facility. All students who are selected to participate in this program will receive an invaluable experience within a DOC office/bureau and will attend regular learning and networking opportunities to foster professional growth and development.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week This 12-week internship runs from May 20, 2024, to August 09, 2024. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
