Sun Country Airlines UX Design Intern in Minneapolis, Minnesota

As an intern, you will make an impact on the company by contributing to hands-on projects and department business needs. You will experience larger ongoing projects as well as short-term projects throughout the summer that make a real business impact on Sun Country's objectives. Responsibilities Collaborate with UX and Graphic Design teams throughout the entire design process for digital media projects and be responsible for asset creation. Assist UX Designer with pushing concepts/wireframes to higher fidelity designs. Participate in the design and discovery process for upcoming development projects. Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews to contribute ideas and provide feedback. Help conduct competitive research to identify design opportunities and industry trends. Plan and conduct user research studies. Assist with maintenance of the digital design style guide. Collaborate with cross-functional team members (Product Managers, QA Analysts, Developers) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Qualifications and Education Requirements Must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college pursuing a degree in a design-related field, such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, UX Design, Graphic Design or Computer Science Minimum sophomore status by the time the internship begins Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Strong foundation in design principles Proficient on a Mac Familiarity with design tool software (i.e. Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Figma, Sketch) Familiarity with online collaboration software (i.e. Miro or FigJam) Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating intuitive, usable designs for end-users Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check Able to complete the full 10-week internship program (June-August 2024) Preferred Skills On- or off-campus leadership experience Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Proven project coordination skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and establish priorities High degree of organization, self-motivation and creative thinking Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment, as well as MSP's Terminal 2 and maintenance facilities. This role routinely uses the Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
