Sharp Electronics Corporation Summer Intern - Business Analysis in Montvale, New Jersey
Overview
Join our Operations team as a Summer Intern and gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of National Account Operations and Data Analytics. You will work closely with team members across the department, contributing to critical activities such as building process flow mapping of existing national account operations, analyzing operational data, and creating a reporting dashboard for state agencies. This role will provide exposure to supply chain analytics, business intelligence tools, and data-driven decision-making to optimize efficiency and improve reporting accuracy.
Responsibilities
Document the current Sharp National Account process, requirements from Bid to Reporting and Paying State Agencies.
Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies within national account operations.
Develop data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for state agency compliance, financial transactions, and dealer performance.
List and quantify gaps in the process are caused by system limitations, third-party leasing companies, or dealers who don’t fully understand the process flow, requirements, or program expectations.
Create a customer-facing FAQ document for dealers and end users, integrating data insights to address common issues related to 3rd party billing formats, cash application, aging reports, meter read processes, and escalation procedures.
Work with IT and data teams to enhance system processes, ensuring efficient data collection, reporting, and compliance tracking for state agencies.
Develop predictive models or data-driven insights to enhance decision-making in National Account operations.
Create an internal dashboard that measures:
Timeliness and accuracy of state reporting.
Effectiveness of state fee payments.
Compliance with contractual obligations.
Dealer performance based on key metrics.
Identify and map dealer pain points as they relate to national contracts, using data analysis to support process improvements.
Conduct value mapping for the internal operations team to identify efficiency improvements in servicing national account contracts and dealer partnerships.
Assist in ad hoc data analysis projects to support business decisions related to supply chain optimization and operational performance.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program, expecting a BS degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex datasets.
High Proficiency in Microsoft suite including Excel, and Power BI is preferred.
Ability to collaborate across internal functions and with external stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving mindset.
Summer Internship Details:
Compensation : The hourly rate is $18/hr.
Duration : The internship program spans approximately 10 weeks, running from June 2nd to August 15th, 2025.
Work Arrangement : This is a hybrid position, requiring interns to be in the office in Montvale, NJ, four days a week (Monday to Thursday), with Fridays designated for remote work at the manager's discretion.
Transportation : Since the office location in Montvale, NJ, is not accessible by public transportation, interns must have reliable transportation.
Housing : We do not provide housing or a housing stipend for interns.
Work Visa : Unfortunately, we do not offer work visa sponsorship for this role, including participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
