Requisition Summary The PACCAR Technical Center is looking for an engineering intern interested in vehicle controls and electrical systems on medium and heavy duty battery electric and diesel powered trucks. This position's primary tasks include development support for diesel hybrid electric vehicle and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) systems for PACCAR. Job Functions / Responsibilities The Engineering Intern - Vehicle Controls will learn about powertrain and ADAS system fundamentals. The specific activities include: Designing control strategies using The MathWorks MATLAB and Simulink software suites Systems integration - including skills such as: ensuring basic design intent is met, mechanical fitment and clearance, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting communications issues between ECUs, sensors, and actuators Support electrical architecture design decisions and system documentation for PACCAR Advanced Controls related projects Qualifications Coding experience desired, MATLAB, C, Python Strong computer skills including Windows and MS Office Excellent communication and technical writing skills required Education Currently working for an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant major Competencies Technical Acumen Lead Innovation and Quality Initiatives Influence Others Drive for Results Demonstrate Adaptability Act with Integrity Additional Job Board Information Intern Benefits At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development.
