We're hiring for Production Engineer Intern (Chemical Engineering)

As Production Engineer Intern (Chemical Engineering) you will act as an advanced technical resource for Operations personnel, applying technical skills and process technology knowledge to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems and enable safe, reliable and efficient production of low cost, quality products. This role provides a secondary or advanced level of technical and process technology expertise to assist work teams to run a low cost, on specification, reliable, optimized operation, thereby maximizing value to the business in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

Your Challenge:

  • Understands all applicable process technology, equipment and process control technology. Works with Technical Advising role(s) and plant personnel to optimize operations to meet Business, Site and plant goals. (EH&S, quality, production, cost, energy, reliability, etc.) for the area of responsibility.

  • Diagnoses and documents the root causes of asset utilization (AU) losses in the available tools.

  • Provides leadership, expertise, diagnosis, and drives optimization in plant Raw Material Efficiency, which may include yield, waste generation, or other technology specific measures. Serves as the plant focal point for this key performance area.

  • Coaches team members to ensure Most Effective Technology (MET), which includes best practices, are understood and utilized to optimize operations. Ensures Operating Discipline requirements are met.

  • Lead improvement opportunities and participate in the definition and execution of Capital/Expense projects in the area of responsibility

  • Operating technicians, plant technology team, Operations Leadership, Process Automation resources, Maintenance team

Location: Mozzanica (Bergamo) - Onsite position

Duration: 12 months

Qualifications

  • Chemical Engineer education or equivalent experience in chemical industry.

  • Technical Diagnostic and Problem Solving skills.

  • Effective Communication (i.e. verbal, written) in English and Italian.
