BAE Systems Software Intern in Nashua, New Hampshire
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented software intern to join our team for the summer of 2025. As a software intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with our experienced engineers to design, develop, and deploy software solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development, learn from industry experts, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
Develop and maintain high-quality code, following industry best practices and coding standards
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
Troubleshoot and debug software issues, working with the team to resolve problems
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our software solutions
Participate in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong programming skills in python or C#
Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile and version control systems (e.g. Git)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Familiarity with containerization (e.g. Docker) and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g. JUnit, Pytest)
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
Perform well in a fast-paced environment
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $44660 - $62088
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
