OTC Markets Group Inc., operator of premier US financial marketplaces, is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our Finance Team for a paid internship in NYC this summer!  

OTC Markets is currently operating in a hybrid work environment (three days in office, two days remotely).

Responsibilities:

The accounting intern will have the opportunity to provide assistance in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting guidance research, procedure memo updates, and exposure to various public company accounting functions such as financial reporting, earning reporting, and monthly and quarterly closes.

• Support the fixed assets process by updating existing records and assisting in reporting

• Handle correspondence with customers and vendors

• Collaborate with finance team on updating procedure memos

• Support with process improvement and other initiatives

• Perform other ad hoc projects as assigned

  Requirements:

• Major or minor in accounting with a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles

• Some experience performing billing / collection duties, preferably within the financial or technology services industries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Organized, detail oriented, with an ability to multi-task

• Experience with Intacct Financial Management software a plus

  This is a paid opportunity: $25/hour.
