Zurich North America is hiring an experienced AVP, Senior Organizational Strategy Consultant (International) to join our Operations team in Schaumburg! We are also open to hiring talent at our offices in Chicago & New York.

As a member of Zurich's Operations team, you will enjoy the opportunity to fully apply and hone your Project Management and analytical skills. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to work with the International Operations team on projects such as creating Underwriting models and rules, Operating models, technology transformations and automation initiatives.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Work with business unit/strategic support unit and/or Global Senior Leadership in the identification of business improvement opportunities, and acts as a catalyst to accelerate and drive the execution of solutions that integrate enterprise and business unit/strategic support unit strategic direction.

  • Facilitate the strategic and/or tactical business planning process, and provides methodologies and tools to sponsors & teams to drive initiatives to intended results

  • Partner across US and Global Business Units to leverage enterprise processes and solutions to support integrated or Business Units specific solutions as appropriate.

  • Demonstrate an ability to create a 'win/win' solutions through leadership, influence, facilitation and teamwork.

  • Provide methodologies and tools to sponsors and team members to support initiatives and institutionalize a culture that embraces innovation and transformation.

  • Ensure appropriate change management practices are effectively utilized throughout the life cycle to improve execution and delivery of results.

  • In the capacity of 'portfolio manager', demonstrate an awareness of all BU/SSU initiatives, understand where initiatives overlap and intersect, and provide a portfolio view of all change associated with the initiatives such that effective prioritization can occur at the BU/SSU level. Act as a touch point for the enterprise project prioritization process.

Basic Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area

OR

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area

OR

• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area

AND

• Experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Change Management

• Experience in the application of existing and/or change management methodologies and tools

• Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree

  • PMP certification

  • International insurance industry knowledge with subject matter expertise in at least one functional insurance discipline; such as Underwriting, Claims, Risk, Engineering

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $131,100.00 - $170,100.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
